Interroll announces the creation of extra capacities in the United Statesof America.
An additional plant next tothe existing one will be built in Hiram near Atlanta, Georgia. The company is investing a total of around US$11millionin this extension, and completion of the second factory is expected by the end of 2019.
At Interroll, the Americas region continues to see a high level of project activities, with 2018 sales resultingin double-digit growth. At the same time, the company is introducing innovative solutions at a fast pace to meet the market’s ever-evolving demands.Important business trends such as increased automation for warehouses and airportsas well as the rise of e-commerce continue to support this positive outlook.
“We continue to see high demand for Interrollsolutions in the Americas,”says Richard Keely, Executive Vice President of the Americas region. “Because of this, weare preparing ourselvesby raisingcapacities in orderto ensure fast delivery times for our customers and end users in the years to come.”
The Hiram location has a current headcount of 124 employees.The planned investment volume will amount to approximately US$11million(approximatelyCHF10.9 million). The project adds121,500 square feet(approximately11,300 square meters) of available floor space of which 15,000 squarefeet (approximately1,400 square meters) will be used asoffice space.
“Our extended capacities will allow us to further develop ourlean and agile productionand increase the level of automationin our factories,” says Keely.
